Day 9 Post op....
After a rather bump night, I don’t know why other then Ben just decided to wake about 4 times during it! The boys woke at 7am, typical they always do this wake early at weekends & we have to drag them out of bed during the week.
We opted for a lazy start to the day, I did bob down to the gym, first time in a while managed ok but still a way off my usual, Ben will be betting me soon...
As we had the bike we decided to go for a walk/ride in the park, I say park but it is not like a normal park as will all things in America it is HUGE.
We found a good place to park and got the bike out and sort Ben so he was comfortable & off we went. Jacob loved it, having a large space to run around and kick snow it was just what he needed – as we all did. Ben was a little grumpy to start but soon cheered up. It was cold so we were wrapped up warm.
After a while we spotted the boating lake, obviously there were no boat but ducks, equally as fun! A lady from the cafe came out and gave the boys some bread to feed them, man where they big ducks. This was funny to watch Ben shrieking as the ducks took the bread out of his hand. Jacob thought it was great fun and was laughing & running around like a mad man.
Ben was getting cold so it was a quick walk back to the car & into the Forest Park information centre to warm up and grab a drink.
Then it was off to the grocery store again!! Gosh we are eating a lot, but we did manage to stop on the way at Dunkin Donuts – yum yum...
Today has been nice just been together, the boys are loving having us both around & we are loving not being stressed by work/home commitments that usual get in the way.
Well not much other than that to report – Ben is still doing really well, we just need to get him on his feet more he is still a little reluctant to do this other then in PT session, and we will work on it.
