Back to PT.....................

Last night would have been a better night if I had not interfered & unsettled Ben as he was just about asleep.   We had early in the evening taken Ben bandages off & he was conscious of knocking them, but I am very aware that he is still not managing to wear either his night gaits or splint.  Anyway after a few tears and a bit of Tylenol peace was resumed.
The alarm when off at 8am – thank goodness Damo had set it as I’m sure we would have struggled to get up & sorted in time this morning as we had to be at the hospital for 10am today.
Damian decided he would take Ben today as I really wanted to do some school work with Jacob & clean the apartment.  Ben was a little concerned that some of his steri strips where coming off already and there was a small piece of stitch sticking out, so I knew Erica would sort him out.

So off they went and we got down to some work, Jacob did it really quickly so I let him go on the school website & play a few (educational) games.  I got lots done by the time Damo & Ben came home.  Damian told me how amazing well Ben had done again at PT, he had balanced for over 20 seconds and Erica was really pleased with him.  She had also made an appointment for Keith to come and have a look at his splint tomorrow was it is slightly rubbing his ankle.
We had planned to go to the Magic House today but had not realised it was closed on Mondays, so as we thought about what to do instead I gave the boys some lunch.
The decision was made the Arch then a bit of shopping was the plan.  Ben & Jacob chatted all the way there trying to decided if they were going to go up in the ‘pods’ to the top of the Arch, Jacob was not convinced but Ben was willing.
We arrived without getting lost for once, and parked up.  As we walked towards the Arch it look to high up, but Ben was definite he was going in it.  So we looked round a couple of the museums at the bottom of the Arch & looked in the shop (Grandma Linda we have got you a magnet don’t you worry), then Damo & Ben went off to get the tram to the Arch, Jacob & I just walked around and waited for them.

It was only about 40 mins till they got back & Ben was full of it he had totally loved every minute of it – the big cheesy grin on his face said it all.
So we went back to the car & head towards the West County Mall.  After some food & few shops it was nearly 5pm & time to start heading home.  Time really does go by so quickly here.
The evening was a quiet one, baths for the boys.  Given Ben a bath is still a skill in itself as with all these steri strips that can’t get soaked it’s a bit tricky but not long now till they all fall off and back to normal washing.
Who knows what tomorrow brings!!  We have just had a message that we have our final appointment to see Dr Park on Friday as he is away next week.
