LET'S GO BLUES................

WE today started like most others, although we did manage a full night’s sleep the first one here anyway.  So we all felt refreshed and ready for the day ahead.
Today PT was with Erica, Ben again worked so hard we had made a deal if he walked, with his walker from the apartment to the car then car to PT we would give him $12, bribery at its best.  He was so focused on all the tasks he managed 20 minutes on the treadmill, in 5 minutes sections even 2 minutes walking backwards.  Off next to the total Gym leg press, this was the first time Ben had used this and he get straight away although it was a little challenging for him and Erica made sure he brought his legs back down SLOWLY, something Ben finds hard in everything he does.  Ben was shattered by the end of his session today he could hardly get into his chair.

Ben is moving  a lot more freely now, his pain is minimal and is trying so hard, we are so proud of him for being so focused and pushing himself, we are not really thinking about Thursday’s op yet as we will just do it when we get there, Ben has asked a few questions but all in all is fine about it as he knows it will help improve him ability to get his left heel on the floor and then have better standing balance.
We had arrange to meet the Wardleworth’s at The Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch as we were all going to see the St Louis Blues Ice Hockey match later.  Everyone was so excited, especially the dad’s!!  Lunch was lovely the children were all well behaved and the food was amazing somehow 2 and a half hours passed.  So it was time to head back to have a little rest before we headed to the Scottrade Centre to see the match.
After a slight detour me arrived in good time, the places was huge, the boys were so excited they could have burst.  Damian went to collect the tickets and we were in.  Our seats were AMAZING, just perfect the boys got a hat and a puck each and soon go into the spirit of the game.  Ben just loved it he watched every second and was cheering as loud as the other fans.  Jacob told me that this was his first ever live sports event, I could not believe it, he also really enjoyed.   We all joined in with the chanting LET’S GO BLUES and St Louis beat the Los Angeles Kings 2 v 1.
I think they liked it because it was fast and furious and there was even a fight or two and there were some major injuries, boys seem to like that sort of thing.

I have to say it was a wonderful evening the boys loved it so much, we did have to pay a visit to the shop again before we left but that was ok as they had money to spend.
It was just after 10 pm when we arrived home to shattered boys, supper then bed.  We were not that far behind them.
Who knows what tomorrow brings.
