Oh No Snow!!!!!!

I was not looking forward to wake up this morning, but it was not as bad as we thought it would be.
The boys woke in their usual manner & heading into the front room, Jacob was eager to look outside to see what had happened over night.  Well about 6/8 inches of snow but the roads were clear.
Ben managed a quick Skype call to his class and showed how well he can balance, they were all really excited hear he would be back in school on Monday.
Before we knew it, it was time for PT, our last with Erica.  Damian took Jacob to Forest Park to have a last go at Ice Skating.  Ben & I made our way up to the 4th Floor as usual & bumped into Belle just finishing her PT.  After a quick chat about the snow & airport closures!!  Erica led us in.
Ben was on great form especially as he spotted ‘Mad Michael’ back from his trip to the UK.  We also got to meet Jack another boy from the UK who had just had SDR.  Ben was straight on the treadmill looking really good he managed 15 minuets 0.6 speed & level 3 incline.  Erica told us she would be doing all his measurements today so Ben’s last session tomorrow would just be a fun session.  There were huge improvements in his ranges and I’m sure Erica used the word normal range for both his ankles!
Next she took him to work on the stairs, he tried so hard and walked up a whole flight & down again.  After it was his favourite sit to stands with a bit of basketball thrown in for good measures.

So we said our good bye & Thank You’s to Erica & headed home.  We had finally arranged to go with the Wardleworths to see the Billikens Basketball team play, & head out for an late lunch early tea beforehand.
The boys were so excited to be going to another American sporting event.  I had spoken to Brad the hospital videographer who also videos the Billikens games & he said he might be able to sort something special out for Ben, but I didn’t tell Ben.  True to his word Ben was not only put on the BIG Screen but the teams mascot came up to him and gave him a bag of Billikens goodies (THANK YOU BRAD) Ben was made up.

The only worrying thing is that both St Louis & Chicago Airports have been closed all day due to the bad weather, so we will have to wait and see if we actually get home on Friday or not!!!
Well it’s Ben’s final PT tomorrow & we will bid a fond farewell to St Louis Children’s Hospital for a while anyway.

Charlotte xx
